Analyze survey results

The Results section allows you to view and analyze the responses to surveys. You can also export the results for more flexibility.

Access the responses of a survey

View the responses to the questions, as well as the performance data of the survey.

  1. Access the list of Surveys via the main navigation.
  1. Go to the survey detail page.
  1. Click on the Results tab.
  1. View responses and performance data.

Filter responses by time period

Filter responses to questions, as well as survey performance data (number of responses, response rate, etc.), by specific time periods.

  1. Access the list of Surveys via the main navigation.
  1. Go to the survey detail page.
  1. Click on the Results tab.
  1. Filter results using predefined time periods (12 months, 6 months, 30 days, etc.), or filter by specifying a period with specific dates.

Filter responses by cohorts

Target your results based on the response of a group of people to the same question, for matrix, multiple choice and drop down list question type.

  1. Access the list of Surveys via the main navigation.
  1. Go to the survey detail page.
  1. Click on the Results tab.
  1. Click on the Cohorts button
  1. Select one or several questions.
  1. Select an answer.

Select the answers for which you wish to display the answers

  1. Access the list of Surveys via the main navigation.
  1. Go to the survey detail page.
  1. Click on the Results tab.
  1. Click on Filters.
  1. Use the Question filter to select the questions you wish to include in your results.

Exclude dropout surveys

Exclude surveys respondents did not complete during the 30-day period they had to do so.

  1. Access the list of Surveys via the main navigation.
  1. Go to the survey detail page.
  1. Click on the Results tab.
  1. Click on Filters.
  1. Use the switch to exclude dropouts from the survey.

Custom views

Create custom views of your results and save your filter selection to re-use it easily later.

Create a view

  1. Access the list of Surveys via the main navigation.
  1. Go to the survey detail page.
  1. Click on the Results tab.
  1. Click on Filters.
  1. Apply the filters you need.
  1. Click on Save.
  1. Name the view and click on Save again.

The view is now available at all times from the drop-down menu located at the top of the Filters side-panel. Views are available to all contributors of the survey.

You must have the permission to edit a survey in order to create and edit views.

Edit a view

  1. In the Results tab of the survey, click on Filters.
  1. Select the view from the drop-down menu located at the top of the Filters side-panel.
  1. Change the view’s filters.
  1. Two saving options are available:
    1. Save. This option will update your existing view with the new filters you applied.
    1. Save as a new view. This option allows you to keep your original view while saving your current selection as a new one.

Rename or edit a view

  1. In the Results tab of the survey, click on Filters.
  1. Select the view from the drop-down menu located at the top of the Filters side-panel.
  1. Click on the 3-dot menu next to the view.
  1. Select the action you wish to perform.
